Beth Savan

Beth Savan. Beth Savan, Ph.D. joined the EBC board in 2022 and participates on the two committees. Beth was the inaugural Sustainability Director at the University's St. George campus and has held leadership positions in various NGO and government agencies, including serving as Chair of the Environmental Assessment Panel for the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Co-Chairing the City of Toronto's Sustainability Round Table. She is an award-winning teacher and broadcaster and has a rich history of public service and is a faculty member at the University of Toronto's School of Environment. She has received many large research grants and published widely for both academic and popular audiences. Beth is committed to supporting EBC's mission to acquire and steward properties, protect the natural environment they support, and enrich the appreciation of these ecosystems for generations to come.
