Introducing the NEW Bentham Nature Preserve!
We're thrilled to announce the acquisition of this breathtaking 94+ acre preserve along Highway 10, just 1-km southeast of Flesherton. A special thanks to Richard & Lorraine Bentham for their incredible contribution in completing a Conservation Agreement on their property!
The preserve's diverse landscape includes a treed swamp, and a spring-fed pond, surrounded by deciduous forests dominated by sugar maple, American beech, oak, and ash species. Within the preserve are also several Species at Risk, including the Snapping Turtle, Eastern Meadowlark, and Red-headed Woodpecker.
