CAW Nature Reserve
History
This nature preserve is 106 acres and was donated to EBC by the Canadian Auto Workers, now UNIFOR, in 2013. This nature preserve backs onto an area of relatively high development along the shoreline. By protecting this site, UNIFOR has helped prevent its development from further southern expansion.
Significant Features
This site is located across the road from MacGregor Point Provincial Park. There are many rare species on this reserve. It is a large wooded area with a wetland.
There is no official trail on this property yet, but EBC is planning to build one soon!
