History

This reserve is 101.64 acres, and consists of inland and shoreline forests. 

Features

presence of significant alvar and fen habitats and rare species, which include the threatened Hill’s Thistle and Eastern Massasauga rattlesnake, is confirmed. Hill’s Thistle was found on the both the inland property (northeast of Bradley Drive) and shoreline property (southwest of Bradley Drive). An Eastern Massasauga rattlesnake was observed in 2009 crossing Lindsay Road 20 from the inland property. Extensive alvar, woodland and wetland habitat suitable for this species is found at both the inland and shoreline properties.
