History

EBC acquired this 50-acre property outside the town of Arthur in 2018.

Significant Features

This reserve consists of a conifer plantation, deciduous forest, two ponds, a stream, and several vernal pools as well as Provincially Significant Wetlands, including the Ritch Tract Swamp. It is part of a provincial Natural Heritage System and provides habitat for diverse flora and fauna.

Bobolink and Eastern Meadowlarks have been spotted nearby, and the wetland, pond and conifer habitats are a birder's dream for myriad species to be spotted. Be sure to bring your binoculars!
