Significant Features
The property is within the Niagara Escarpment Plan area boundaries, southeast of Noisy River and southwest of Mad River. Mud Creek flows next to the property eastward where it eventually meets Walker’s Creek and flows into Mad River. All this area drains into the Mad River that runs toward northeast of the property to reach Nottawasaga River and finally reaches Georgian Bay around Wasaga Beach area. The property consists of upland mixed forest area, delimited by woodland in the north and southeast, and by some croplands in the west and south.
The Robinson reserve is predominantly covered in walnut trees and other upland hardwood and conifers.
There are three conservation areas close to the property: Noisy River Provincial Park in the west, and Harvey and Farquharson nature reserves (protected by EBC) in the northeast and west, respectively.
Location
The property is located in the Geographic Township of Nottawasaga, currently part of Township of Clearview, located 2 km west of the intersection of Country Road 42 and Mulmur Nottawasaga Townline.
