This reserve is 54.76 acres. the south 47.26-acres land is designated as Niagara Escarpment Plan
Area, and the north 7.5 acres land are designated as Hazard Lands and Rural.

Due to influences from the Niagara Escarpment, the topography of the property is highly variable. The highest elevations occur at the middle of the property. Lowest elevations occur along Big Bay Creek and rise drastically from ~200 m ASL to ~210 m ASL. The topography discourages the creation of wetlands and provides conditions for a well-drained upland area.

The Halliday/Galloway Property is located on the north side of Cape Road and the east side of Big Bay Sideroad. The property can be accessed from either road. The majority of the property is in advanced stages of regeneration with the areas surrounding the wetlands and watercourses surrounded by dense mature stands.
