This reserve was acquired in 2005, it is 220 acres and has a cottage that may be rented.
Significant Features
This reserve is home to several rare species that are unique to alvars in this part of the world. Two very rare orchids, the Tall Northern Green Orchid (Platanthera hyperborea) and the Alaska Orchid (Piperia unalascensis) have both been observed on this property. Many other species at risk have been seen on this property including Blanding’s Turtle and Gattinger's Agalinis.
Location
Starting in Honora, head north on Highway 540. You will pass our Carroll, Andersberg, Bailey and Bingaman reserves. It is located 12 km west of Little Current and past Aundek Omni Kaning. Watch for the big yellow fish at 2260. The driveway is located on the northern side of the road.
