This property is 300 acres and predominantly tree covered. It is known as Matigowiikwetong (place of the forest/lumbering bay) by its Anishinabemowin name, and the EBC is seeking further input from local First Nations before adopting that name.
Significant Features
The majority of the site is heavily treed and the topography ranges from level to gently rolling. No services are available to this property other than trail access.
Location
The Subject Property is located in the Township of Tehkummah, east of the Manitou River and north of the south shore of Manitoulin Island. Access requires crossing the Manitou River.
