Roberston - Carter Bay
History
This 0.5-acre reserve was acquired in 2010. This reserve is small, however, it is a significant piece of nature we purchased in 2010.
Significant Features
The reserve's close proximity to the Huron shore makes it an important piece of nature to protect. Many species at risk have been sighted on and near this reserve. These include the Black Tern, Northern Map Turtle, and Henslow’s Sparrow.
Location
This reserve is located near the Lake Huron shore and surrounded by undeveloped land. It may be difficult to find, so we encourage you to use a GPS to find the coordinates on the map provided on the right. Starting in Providence Bay, follow Hwy 551 south. Head east on Government Road. Once you reach Carter Bay Road, head south. Currently, there is no access from Carter Bay Road. To view in Google Maps click here.
