This is a 46 acre nature reserve which we acquired in 2008.
This reserve is located in the Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere Reserve with Mud Creek flowing along the western side. The Eastern Whip-poor-will, a threatened species of bird has been seen on this reserve. You can access our Farquharson Reserve which is not far from this reserve.
Starting in Orangeville, follow Highway 10 north to Primrose, just east of Shelburne. Follow signs for Highway 89 which will take you east. Turn north on Airport Road (County Road 18). Turn west onto Dufferin County Road 21. Turn north on 4th Line following it to the end. Continue east on Mulmur Nottawasaga Townline and when follow the road as it veers north. You may park at the end of this curve before the road heads back south. If you follow Mulmur Nottawasaga Townline west, then turn south on South Nottawasaga Concession 5 (3rd Line) following this road as it deviates east and then west, you may park at the corner where the road turns from west to south. This is the southeast corner of our Farquharson Reserve.
