This reserve was acquired in 2005, it is 220 acres and has a cottage that may be rented.
This reserve is home to several rare species that are unique to alvars in this part of the world. Two very rare orchids, the Tall Northern Green Orchid (Platanthera hyperborea) and the Alaska Orchid (Piperia unalascensis) have both been observed on this property. Many other species at risk have been seen on this property including Blanding’s Turtle.
Starting in Honora, head north on Highway 540. You will pass our Carroll, Andersberg, Bailey and Bingaman reserves. Once the highway begins to deviate easterly, travel approximately 500 metres until you reach the driveway on the northern side of the road.
